Mahalo and Aloha!
In 2007 a group of Dharma Center members joined me for a retreat on the islands of Maui and Kauai. This year, 2016, I was honored to host Touching Aloha, (through Integrated Meditation Studies and Dharma Center), a truly international retreat with students from as far away as Spain.  Beautiful beings, drawn to Kauai for the next step in their advanced pathway.

I wrote this article on the Island of Kauai – which I find to be one of the most beautiful and powerful places on the planet.  After 20+ visits to the Hawaiian Islands I know them as home.  Kauai is feminine divine, offering all of the gifts of mother earth, and mother ocean.  Some think she is just gentle and soft love.  She is, but she is also the bridge between the worlds, and like excellent mothers everywhere she pushes her children to stretch their wings and grow, eventually to fly into independence.  She does this by providing a thin veil of maya. She provides openings into the dimensions of light.

Her land, water, winds, energy, and her ancient spiritual beings beckon humans to know truth.  Ano ano oi, ( the seedlings of truth) are planted inside people simply by playing in her waters, and breathing-in beauty as the trade winds shine the soul.

There is a river, the Wailua, that is the only navigable river on the island of Kauai.  Wailua means a fork in the river.  So, as you go upstream, you have a choice to make.  You can go to the right or the left.  For 18 years I have journeyed with Dharma Center as a cofounder, administrator and teacher.   The last two years I have gradually and slowly traveled to the fork in my river, my pathway.  Today on Kauai I am happy to say that as Dharma Center continues her flow to the right, I am going with the tao, the flow which is moving me to the left.  Kauai, with her power and Aloha, showed me my dharma.

So as I flow to the left, I send Aloha to Jenna-Dharma-Isis, and all of the Dharma Center sangha. You will always be my spiritual Ohana (family).  The left fork is filled with the unknown, and as a nagual I know that this is a choiceless choice.

Be awake,  and listen to the winds of eternity as she whispers from Samadhi.  I am excited about the journey upstream, or downstream.    As I take my own Wailua I trust that eternity knows what she is doing.

May we all realize we already stand on the shores of Enlightenment, Touching Aloha!
